"I gave up launching from the beach 20 years ago and settled on Littlehampton Marina as a base for my fishing. I have never regretted that decision. The marina is just a mile upstream from the river entrance which is long enough to give assurance that the engine is running well before going out to sea. Wrecks and fishing abound.
I did research other marinas but most were too far from the sea or had awful parking. I like the fact that I can park adjacent to the pontoons. Littlehampton Marina has all the features expected of a marina with toilets, showers and laundry.
Currently The Boat House is shut for refurbishment but when open, the veranda gives unrivalled views over the Marina and countryside plus they always welcome my dog!"

"The key thing about why I like the marina is the fact that they have very good security 24/7. I can feel safe leaving any gear, fuel etc on the boat and know that it won't be stolen or vandalised"
"AHOY-Shipmates .... We have moored out sports-cruiser 'Sparky' (bought on-site from Sussex Boat Shop) at Littlehampton Marina for the past three years now. It has been the perfect base and we love the choice of boating inland/up-river up to Arundel or the open seas (Brighton Marina being a favourite and just over an hour away!). Or sometimes, it's just nice to go nowhere and spend time down on the pontoon. The on-site marina facilities of chandlery (SBS), The Boat House Cafe/Bar, fuel, showers and lovely, friendly, helpful marina staff make for a wonderful boat community which I would recommend to anyone. Looking forward to another season there in 2017...Thank you Littlehampton Marina and it's "Sparky-Sparky-Sparky-Out!"...."
