Jellyfish WARNING - October 2017
MAN O’ WAR PORTUGUESE JELLYFISH WARNING
We have received advice from the Littlehampton Harbour Board concerning Man O’ War jellyfish being washed up on, and removed from, East Bracklesham Beach.
Whilst the main bathing season is over, surfers and those who still swim in the water at this time of year are urged to be extra careful as there is the possibility that more jellyfish might be washed up.
This type of jellyfish can cause a reaction and in extreme cases be fatal.
Sightings of Man O' War Portuguese jellyfish should be reported to the Littlehampton Harbour Board. They can be contacted on 01903 721215.
